1963-1964 Wrestling Season

Varsity   Barry Hunt finished 3rd in the state to cap off a very successful season for the Red Arrow wrestlers. 1961-1962 Wrestling Season

Varsity   Captains for the season were Charlie Kyser and Roger DePew. The team competed in the newly formed Tri-River Conference and took 1st place. They placed 3rd at regionals as a team. Varsity   Lowell went 13-1-1 overall with a 7-1 finish in conference. Jay Rickert and Dale Bieri were district qualifiers and Rickert finished 2nd at regionals. Varsity   The team went 11-6 overall and 6-1 in conference to place 2nd in the Tri-River. Ted Kazemier was a district and regional champion. He also placed 3rd in the state. Varsity   The winter of 1958-1959 was the first season of wrestling at Lowell High School. Other teams in the area had wrestling teams prior to this season, but it was a new sport growing in popularity in the United States at the time. Lowell’s first win came against Belding. Varsity The 1993-1994 team was led by Rich Stouffer and Dan Spicer who finished 5th in the state, and Cory Kirkbride who finished 4th. Scott Swanson also qualified for states. Varsity   The 1998-1999 Lowell Wrestling team finished as state finalists. They finished 2nd in conference and state finalists, winning district and regional titles. 1999-2000 Wrestling Season

Varsity   Under head coach Dave Strejc, the 1999-2000 wrestling achieved great success finishing as state runner-up. The team MVP went to Bill Stouffer who notched his 200th career victory that year. Varsity The 2016-2017 Lowell Wrestling team won the Division 2 State Championship, which stands as the program’s seventh team state title.
