From Day 1, the Lowell JV team had prepared all season for Monday’s game against Forest Hills Central. Trusting the process, working hard every single day, Lowell was able to defeat the Rangers 4-2.

Madison Johnston started and finished the game in the circle, allowing 7 hits, 1 ER, walking 3, and striking out 11 batters. She battled all game long, while trusting her teammates to make plays. Credit Lexi Barry for catching 2 fly-balls in the outfield and Kathleen Basinger and Krin Beach for making multiple outs, including the last out of the game.

At the plate, it was the bottom of the order who shined for Lowell. Batting in the #8 and #9 spot, respectfully, Kathleen Basinger and Faith Worsley came up huge! Both knocking in RBI’s with 2 outs late in the game, the Red Arrows were able to keep the lead and hold on for the win. Audrey Conrad had a triple early and scored a run after a F.C. from Jillian “Jilly Dog” Weston.

Great win for the Arrows who will play FHC again shortly.
