The Lowell Red Arrow Boys Varsity Bowling Team season came to end today at the MHSAA Division 2 State Team Championship Tournament, with a 9th place “Total Pin” finish in the Qualifying Round; the top 8 out of 18 moved on to match play.
The Boys averaged 180.4 over six (6) Baker Games with a high of 228 and a low of 139; they went into the Regular Game 2-game set sitting 17 pins off the cut to the top 8. There were some struggles in the first regular game, ending with an 899 team total. Although the second game was a stronger 974 total team pins, it was not enough, as the team missed the cut by 25 pins.
Seven Red Arrow bowlers participated in the State Team Tournament: Seniors Carson Clark, Foster Skoog and Marcel Primeau; Juniors Xavier Taylor and DJ Simpson; and Sophomores Collin Clark and Aaron Fritsma. Simpson had a high game of 198; Primeau rolled a 195; Collin Clark posted a high game of 216; and Carson Clark shot a team high game of 235.
Senior Carson Clark will participate in the MHSAA State Individual Tournament beginning at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
