Belding High School vs Lowell High School
27 3

The Lowell Red Arrow Bowling teams were in action Thursday, December 6 at The Bowling Alley of Ionia, against the Black Knights of Belding. This is the first time the teams have competed against the Black Knights out of the OK Silver Conference, who we learned returned a solid team from the 2017-18 season.

The first Baker game was close right down to the end, but Lowell came out on the losing end, 191-196; the Black Knights also took the 2nd Baker game by a total of 13 pins, to capture all of the Baker points. The Red Arrows took a total of 3 individual points during the two regular games; Juniors Aaron Fritsma and Collin Clark took the only points. High scores for the Lowell team were rolled by Fritsma, with a 168; Sophomore Jakob Reynolds with a 176; and a 248 and 211 for Clark.

The Red Arrow Boys have 5 new members out for the team this year, all of whom are just learning the basics of the game. At this point in the early season, the emphasis for the B squad is on learning the proper mechanics and getting comfortable on the lanes. As the season progresses, we anticipate reporting actual match scores for the B Team as well.

The teams will be back in action on Tuesday, December 11 at 3:30 p.m. against non-conference rival Caledonia at Spectrum Lanes.
