The Lowell Red Arrow Boys Bowling team was in action on Thursday, February 8 at Paragon Lanes against Conference Rival Ottawa Hills in a match re-scheduled from February 7.
The Ottawa Hills Bengals were a man short for the match. The Red Arrows came out strong in the first Baker game with a 224 and swept the 10 Baker points. The Boys then took 4 of 5 individual points and team total in the first regular game. Coach Chris Clark then transitioned 4 members of the “B” Team in to provide experience for the younger bowlers, and give him the opportunity to assess their progress as he prepares to submit the slate of team and alternate bowlers for the Conference and Regional Tournaments. The Red Arrows took 2 individual points and total game points to then take total meet points for a final 26-4 score.
DJ Simpson rolled a 181, Marcel Primeau had a 169, Collin Clark rolled a 173, Jakob Reynolds had a 160, Aaron Fritsma rolled a 157, Chase Anderson had a 166, and Carson Clark posted scores of 212 and 204.
The Lowell Red Arrow Bowling Teams will be in action on Saturday, February 10 at Sherman Lanes in Muskegon in a tune-up tournament preparing for Regionals. The Monday, February 12 scheduled non-conference match against Jenison has been cancelled. The teams will be in action next Wednesday, February 14 at Eastbrook Lanes against Conference Rival Forest Hills Central, the final match before the Conference Tournament on Saturday, February 17.
