The Lowell Red Arrow Bowling teams were in action Thursday, February 14 versus the Forest Hills Northern Huskies at The Bowling Alley of Ionia in a make-up of a weather cancelled match.
The Boys started slow and lost their first Baker game by 20 pins, but came back with a 196 in the second Baker to win the game and Baker total and take a 6-4 lead into the Regular game set. Although they struggled with shot consistency in the first Regular game and only took two individual points, overall scores were high enough to take game total by 28 pins. The Boys roared back in the second Regular game with a 914 – their highest game of the Conference Season – to take all remaining match points for a 23-7 win.
Taking points in the match were: Ryan Slopsema, 1; Xavier Taylor, 1; DJ Simpson, 1; Aaron Fritsma, 2; and Collin Clark, 2. High games were rolled by: Ryan Slopsema, 165 and 193; Aaron Fritsma, 185 and 162; Xavier Taylor, 180; DJ Simpson, 197; and Collin Clark, 188 and 182.
The Boys B team bowled a pacer game. High games were rolled by Taylor Chambers, 130 and 136; Nathaniel Dewitt, 137; and Jakob Reynolds, 155.
This match was part of a tri-match against Greenville to wrap up the Conference Regular season. The Conference Tournament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, February 16 at The Bowling Alley of Ionia.
