This week, we feature two more outstanding seniors!
Our female senior student-athlete of the week is Hailey Hoevenaar! Hailey has spent the past four years of her athletic high school career with her mind focused on soccer.
Her favorite sports memory while playing soccer was when she and the girls took down Grand Rapids Christian, known to have a tough program each and every year.
With all the talk on the table about soccer, we had to guess that soccer would be mentioned as her favorite sport. Her reply confirmed our initial thoughts. On top of that, we had to ask who happened to be her favorite athlete. She said that would be Swedish soccer legend and current L.A. Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Following graduation, Hailey plans on continuing her next stage of her life and career locally at Ferris State University.
Our male senior student-athlete of the week is Caleb Devereaux!
Caleb is another one of our many multi-sport athletes here at LHS. He has spent all four years committed to track & field in the spring, and football in the fall. His favorite memory came in the fall of 2015 and 2016, when he and the boys played some exciting football games against Walled Lake Western.
Between the two sports, Caleb told us football is his favorite. Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles is his favorite athlete. Caleb has been named honorable mention all-conference for football and was a conference champion in discus.

Out of all the non-sport memories at LHS, he said playing bass with the Grand Rapids Symphony during his freshman year, was his absolute favorite.
Caleb plans on taking the next step of his life at Siena Heights University. While he’s there, he will also continue to play the two sports he loves the most, track and football. Caleb was recently announced as one of Lowell’s three players selected to compete in the Addix All-Star Football game on June 8th at Hope College.
We congratulate and thank these two seniors for their commitment to Red Arrow athletics over the past four years, while also achieving great success through academics. Best of luck to these two on their future endeavors. Thank you to J-Dubb’s Signature Subs of Lowell for sponsoring our Senior Student-Athletes of the Week.
