Katherine is our featured female senior student-athlete this week! She has spent all four of her high school years devoted to soccer in the spring.

Her favorite sports memory would be all the times she went with her team to get ice cream at Ball’s Ice Cream after those long, tough days at practice.

Without a doubt, Katherine’s favorite sport happens to be soccer. At the same time, we had to ask who her favorite athlete is. She said it happens to be Julie Ertz (also known as Julie Johnston) who is an American soccer player that’s married to Super Bowl champion Zach Ertz. Katherine said that making honor roll throughout high school is her most outstanding achievement academically.

Following graduation in two months, Katherine plans on attending Ferris State University to major in graphic design.

Garrett Pratt

Our male senior student-athlete of the week is Garrett Pratt! He has seen the turf (football), the mat (wrestling), and the field (baseball) over his four years at LHS. Football and baseball were equally his most played sports, as he has played them all four of those years. He also wrestled his freshman and sophomore year.

His favorite sports memory was the huge comeback the football team pulled off his junior year against Forest Hills Central. What made it really special is that the win fell on Homecoming.

Garrett has joined and actively made an impact with the National Honors Society in high school. He has also made the honor roll. Garrett takes pride in that he was named academic all-district for baseball and was named all-conference for football.

Looking ahead to college, Garrett plans on majoring in either plastics engineering or business. He has not yet committed to a university.

His overall favorite memory through the years was Pink Arrow week where he got the opportunity to play for his brother Grant. Thank you to J-Dubb’s Signature Subs of Lowell for sponsoring our Senior Student-Athletes of the Week.
