Article by Drew Davidson (LHS Class of 2019)

Laura Lachowski

Laura Lachowski is our female senior student-athlete of the week this week. One of our current bowling team members, she has bowled the last three years for LHS and is currently on the bowling team with her sister as well. In addition, Laura was also part of the track team her junior year and plans to be involved again during her senior year.

Her favorite memory is making the all-tournament team at the Wyoming Invitational last season. Her favorite sport is bowling. She was honorable mention all-conference for bowling last season as well.

Laura will also be attending Ferris State University next fall where she will double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology and also minor in Sociology. She is currently in the Michigan Army National Guard. Her favorite high school memory is going to the Ford Museum for her government class field trip.

Avery Lupton

Our male senior student-athlete of the week is Avery Lupton. Avery is one of our multi-sport athletes at LHS playing on the football team, participating in track and field, and is currently one of our seniors on the Caledonia-Lowell-South Christian swim and dive team.

He played football his freshman, sophomore and senior year. He also competed on the track and field team his freshman and junior year, and also plans to as a senior as well. He has been a part of the swim & dive team the past two seasons.

He said his favorite sport is swimming and he doesn’t have a favorite athlete in particular. After he graduates from LHS his post-high school plans to attend Grand Rapids Community College, Avery said. From there he will see where that takes him! We wish them both good luck in their current sports, future sports, academics, and plans after LHS!
