Lowell Red Arrows watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-0 loss to Forest Hills Central on Thursday. Forest Hills Central scored on a single by Rodriguz and a single by Scannel in the first inning.
Forest Hills Central took an early lead in the first inning. Rodriguz singled on a 2-0 count in the first inning, scoring one run.
Forest Hills Central scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Forest Hills Central’s big inning was driven by a single by Hielman, a triple by Scannel, a single by Doolittle, a home run by Peliotis, and a single by Wing.
One bright spot for Lowell Red Arrows was a double by Nate Stephens in the first inning.
Doolittle earned the win for Forest Hills Central. He went five innings, surrendering zero runs, six hits, striking out eight, and walking zero. Garrett Pratt took the loss for Lowell Red Arrows . He threw three and a third innings, allowing eight runs, ten hits, and striking out four.
Brady Douma, Andrew DeVoest, Connor Douma, Sage Solomanson, Stephens, and Jack Malone each collected one hit to lead Lowell Red Arrows .
Forest Hills Central had 15 hits in the game. Wing, Scannel, Doolittle, Tellier, and Hielman each collected multiple hits for Forest Hills Central. Wing led Forest Hills Central with three hits in four at bats. Forest Hills Central was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Hielman had the most chances in the field with eight.
